Antenatal Services
Alison provides you with all of your antenatal care in your home.
This includes physical checks, extensive education and birth and breastfeeding preparation, as well as provision for referrals for ultrasound and pathology as required. Your antenatal visits are designed to meet your needs and are a space for you to ask questions, discuss your desires for your pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.
Labour and Birth Care
Alison generally provides care for women choosing to birth at home. Some women may choose to birth in the hospital setting where Alison can be present as a birth support person.
Alison provides care for you in your home during labour and birth and comes to your birth with all the equipment required (including birth equipment, oxygen, resuscitation equipment and emergency medications).
Postnatal
Alison provides you with all of your postnatal care in your home for six weeks after your baby is born.
During this time, she will check on the health and development of your baby and assist with breastfeeding needs and your recovery from pregnancy and birth.
Birth Debriefing
Alison can facilitate one on one birth debriefing in your home or in her clinical space.
Birth debriefing can be a valuable experience for those who have endured birth trauma and can facilitate healing. Your clinical notes can be obtained to review together as a way for you to understand the happenings during your pregnancy and/or birth. Having the space to discuss your experiences can be empowering and aid in the recovery from trauma.
